last moment pictures of todays work, including 2nd hull half construction shots and centerboard shots showing the case painted inside and assembled. Next step is to glue and assemble it in the main hull half. Exciting news is that the beam mounts from Farrier Marine in NZ have arrived at the post office for collection.

Hello Chris,
I see the edges of the centerboard case are build different than I did it per plans (foam in stead of glass flanges). Will this be strong enough?
Also it might be a good idea to put in the exit sheaves for the control lines (and dummy control lines) before glassing in the case and gluing the cockpit floor on top of the case. Later on this area will be difficult to reach.

Hi Chris,
Forget about my remark about the foam edges. After looking better I saw the foam on the edges is just a mold to make the glass flanges....

Hi,
this was the simple way to make the centerboard case.I think this with foam will be stronger, than without foam.
Thanks for the input Menno, as you can see we are learning alot from your thoughts ... great to have you ahead of us to think thru the options on the fly. Cheers Chris
